How to file a police report?

Your bike was stolen? File a police report.

If your benefit bike has been stolen, you need to report it to the police. We need the official police report to process your insurance claim.

Where to file the report

• Go to the Finnish Police's online reporting service: poliisi.fi
• Select "The interested party is a company" (because Vapaus is the legal owner of the bike).

Information to include in the report

When you file the report, use this information for Vapaus:

• Country of birth: Finland
• Nationality: Finnish

Request for punishment

On the "Request for punishment" page, select that Vapaus demands the perpetrator be punished.

After you file the report

1. You'll receive a confirmation from the police
2. Submit the official police report (not just the confirmation) using the insurance form
3. Include details about how and where the theft happened

Important: We need the actual police report document, not just the filing receipt.
